MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF SELECTMEN MEETING
THURSDAY, JANUARY 13, 2011

Chairman Mauceri called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM in Room 5 at Town Hall in North Reading in the presence of members Mr. O’Leary, Mr. Prisco, Mr. Delaney and Mr. Yull, and Town Administrator Greg Balukonis. Also present were Edd Byrnes and Kenneth Lombardi from EBS Foran, the Town's Health Insurance Consultant.
#1. INSURANCE ADVISOR
Mr. Byrnes and Mr. Lombardi reviewed the Town's health insurance loss history and associated costs. There were additional materials presented on proposed changes to the Town's health insurance effective August 1, 2011. Mr. Byrnes stated he would be presenting additional recommendations to the Town Administrator for changes to the health insurance plan over the next two to three years.
#2. STRATEGIC PLAN GOALS
At 7:20 p.m. the Board met with Representative Bradley Jones, Jr. to review the Strategic Plan summary previously adopted by the Board of Selectmen. Selectman Prisco led the board in a discussion updating various tasks noted in the Strategic Plan. Rep. Jones offered comments on strengths, opportunities, weaknesses, threats and trends previously identified by the board.
