2002:35 - Richard & Brenda Tharp, 17 Pine Road, North Hampton, NH 03862 requests a Variance to Article IV, Section 409.9 for construction of a driveway and garage located 15 feet from the edge of an inland wetland where a 50 feet is required. The property is located at 17 Pine Road within the R-1 [high density residential] zoning district and is shown on Tax Map #007-008-000. This request was tabled from the September 18, 2002 ZBA meeting.
2002:38 - Merrill Family Trust/J. Carl and M. Theresa Merrill, 20 Lafayette Terrace, North Hampton 03862, request a variance to Article V, Section 501.2 for a change of a non-conforming use to be able to create two (2) non-conforming lots with existing structures where one(1) non-conforming lot currently exists. The applicants request a variance to Article IV, Section 406 requesting (a) relief from the 35-foot side setback at 24 Lafayette Terrace where a 18 foot side setback exists, and relief from the 35-foot side setback at 20/22 Lafayette Terrace where a 14 foot side setback exists in order to be able to establish a lot line between 20/22 and 24 Lafayette Terrace where none currently exists, thereby creating two (2) lots in place of the one; and (b) requesting relief from a frontage requirement of 250 feet where frontage of 89.55
feet exists for 24 Lafayette Terrace and 61.32 feet exists for 20/22 Lafayette Terrace. The applicants also request a variance to Article IV, Section 406.4(a) asking for relief from a minimum lot size for a duplex requiring 100,000 square feet when the lot for 20/22 Lafayette Terrace would contain 36,718 square feet. The property is located at 20/22 and 24 Lafayette Terrace within the Industrial-Business/Residential [I-B/R] zoning district and is shown on Tax Map #021-014-000. This request was tabled from the October 16, 2002 ZBA meeting.
V. New Business
2002:40 - Keith Sheehan, Rivers & Sheehan Construction Company, 186-A Lafayette Boulevard, North Hampton, NH 03862 requests (A) a Variance to Article V, Section 501.2 to allow for an expansion of a non-conforming use for multi-use of a residence, office and cabinet shop and requests (B) a Variance to Article V, Section 506.3(C) for construction of a sign larger than 40 sq. ft. The property is located at 186-A Lafayette Road within the I-B/R [Industrial-Business/Residential] zoning district and is shown on Tax Map #017-087-000.
2002:41 - Pobama Trust, P.O. Box 359, Hampton, NH 03842 requests (A) a Variance to Article IV, Section 406 seeking relief from a 30-foot front setback when a front setback of 20 feet exists and requests (B) a Variance to Article IV, Section 411 to seek relief from the requirement of one(1) contiguous acre of non-wetland soil for construction of a dwelling. The property is located at 4 Post Road within the R-1 [High Density] zoning district and is shown on Tax Map #003-102-000.
2002:42 - Barlo Signs, 158 Greeley Street, Hudson, NH 03051 requests a Variance to Article V, Section 506.3(e) to allow the installation of one (1) 43 square foot internally illuminated wall sign for Cleary Cleaners where two (2) 12 square foot each wall signs are permitted. The property is located at 33-49 Lafayette Road [Lafayette Crossing Shopping Area] within the I-B/R [Industrial-Business/ Residential] zoning district and is shown on Tax Map #007-053-000.
2002:43 - North Hampton Acura, 137 Lafayette Road, North Hampton, NH 03862 requests a Variance to Article V, Section 506.3(e) to allow for the installation of a third sign composed of individual individually illuminated letters of 18 inches in height spelling "North Hampton Acura" encompassing a total area of 37.5 square feet where two (2) 12 square foot each wall signs are permitted. The property is located at 137 Lafayette within the I-B/R [Industrial-Business/ Residential] zoning district and is shown on Tax Map #017-041-000.
