Mosquito control spraying for North Beach takes place on Mondays and Thursdays, depending upon the mosquito count. According to Barbara Carlough, Mosquito Control for Calvert County, the mosquito populations are currently high, especially in the marsh areas due to all of the recent rains. The time that our area is sprayed this season is after 10:00 pm, which is much later than previous years.
Please dump any standing water in your yard to prevent mosquitoes from breeding. If you hear the spray truck coming, please go inside for a few minutes. If you have any concerns about mosquito control, please email mosquitocontrol@co.cal.md.us.
