It was announced that a special meeting will be held on January 21, 2010 at 12:00 pm at the C. H. Booth Library with Dr. Rutberg as a speaker on deer contraception and a proposed research site in Newtown.

Mr. Shugarts introduced Dr. Anthony DeNicola from White Buffalo.  Dr. DeNicola stated that he has over 20 years of experience in the studies of deer, including the use of contraception, sterilization and forms of lethal removal.  He felt the best use of his time was to answer any questions, fill in the gaps of what the committee has already heard from other speakers, and dispel myths associated with this subject.  He noted that the are continually working on new technology.  He noted that White Buffalo is a non profit 501C3 organization and that the money generated from White Buffalo is used in research of new technology and education.  Dr. DeNicola answered many questions from the committee member, including the difference between sharp shooting and hunting.

The committee adjourned at 10:15 pm.
