Minutes
September 20th, 2010
The Newtown Pension Committee met on Monday September 20th, 2010 in Town Hall South. The meeting was called to order at 7:30pm.
Present: Dunham Smith, Mark Korotash, Barbara Bloom and Frank Krasowski.
Also in attendance: Carole Ross, Human Resources.
Public Participation: None
Approval of Minutes: A motion was made by Mrs. Bloom, seconded by Mr. Korotash to approve the July 15th minutes as written.
Bills: Invoice # 30605 - $2088. Motion to approve by Mrs. Bloom, seconded by Mr. Korotash.
Correspondence: None
Reports/requests from retirees: None
A discussion took place regarding the meeting with the Board of Selectmen and the Board of finance. The committee discussed reducing the wage assumption from 6% and a possible study of peer benchmark analysis. This will be discussed with David Leonard when he presents the actuarial report in November.
