- Park and Recreation Update
R. Reggiano met with the Engel family on 1/11/13. Mentioned the website is
being updated. Made suggestions of items to be used at the park, their decision
will follow.
Thank You notes will be written in January to all donors, addresses permitting.
Plans: Including web page for Olivia: to be launched in January as a thank you to
donors, in February as a memorial to Olivia. Jordan Simonds has submitted a draft
of the page and offered to manage the new updates of the site.
Site Update: K. Simonds will pursue meeting with C. Samuelson and R. Simonds to see if we can set a date for ground breaking and budget items.
When 5/18/13 YES later than last year 11am to 3pm
Where: Move festivities to Simpson St, off the road with grass and shade and water available.
Perhaps extending to First Ave.
Where to walk Map to be determined, minimum 1 mile
R. Reggiano; prefers we keep off the roads and utilize grass area for our crowd.
How much to charge $5 per dog
Who will be vendors Vendors from 2010-2012 Janice to provide addresses and
letters will go out in January. FEE is $20. New Vendors suggested in the categories of FENCING, TRAINING, PET SUPPLIES
Why (Theme) to be determined
What for identification Tyvek wristbands, one per paid dog to be worn by ‘walker’.
Suggestion by R. Reggiano: Make one huge basket of goodies that each paying dog will be entered to win. C. Rebar suggested we go back to gathering gift certificates. S. Koegler offered to help.
R. Reggiano asked if the Certified Therapy Dogs of our area could come and demonstrate their skills? Unanimous approval!!!
She also said she would inquire to a demonstration and access to an AGILITY COURSE.
Contests and Games: Tic Tac Paw; Look /alie, Best dress, Best kisser. New HOT DOG TOSS, similar to an egg toss.
J. Butler previewed RULES list, please send her your top 10+ so she can consolidate them.
