Employee Safety Committee
September 15th, 2009
In attendance: Carole Ross, Chairman, Linda O’Masta, Bill Halstead, Carol Kochiss, Linda Bradley, Bob Tait, CIRMA – Marion Chamberlain, Joey Barbera, Luc-John Pentz.
Mrs. Ross opened the meeting at 2:00pm.
A review of this quarter’s injury reports took place. This quarter 11 accidents were reported. A discussion took place regarding the volunteer fireman who is in the hospital for a back injury. It was decided to conduct another training session for all departments at some time in the future for proper lifting techniques.
A discussion took place regarding the requirements of the safety committee which include supervisory investigation, supervisory reporting procedures and annual reporting to the Selectman. Supervisory investigation training will be held in order to ensure proper claim reporting.
The next meeting will be held on December 3rd.
