Minutes for ETHBOM Subcommittee Meeting, February 7, 2012
In Attendance: Margo Hall, Jim Juliano, Tom Long, Karen C. Pierce
Meeting began at 7:10 pm
The daily use of the building, theater/concessions and special events continued to be identified as well as the skills/attributes needed to meet building and community needs. We reviewed and discussed the following:
- Information gleaned through shadowing staff
- Tom L. shadowed Tom M. : Building Manager
- Margot shadowed Jeanne: Receptionist/Events Planner
- Karen touched base with Sam and Ed Custodial Staff/night manager,, monitored Saturday’s events
- Formulated rough draft of managerial skills needed for overall supervision of building and staff, technological skills, etc.
- Discussed strengths and challenges in the current system
- Established goals for next meeting:
- Shadowing remaining staff
- Breakdown components of theater/concessions
- Meet with Tom M. as a subcommittee.
- Begin to categorize tasks under established headings
All agreed that, while our body is doing the field work on this topic, any changes to the current structures put in place must be discussed by and voted on by the full Board.
