Two topics on the agenda for discussion:
1) Technology
2) Control Room
The group pursued a review of our needs related to securing a higher level of technical support/advice from representatives of BVH. Documents submitted by HB Communications were consulted and discussed. Our Cte seeks to have from BVH more specific technology recommendations connected to the Program Specifications document as developed and distributed by the LC subcommittee. Further, a package of bid specifications will have to be developed at some future time. BVH reps agreed to assess what changes might be necessary in their contracted scope of work and to inform Mr. Borst of any additional cost for those services.
The size and configuration of the control room will be influenced by the equipment needed to support the program. That information will be forwarded to Jerry Waters (Tai Soo Kim) and to John Cross (O&G). Construction of the conference room/control room will be held until the technology information is available and is vetted out by the committee.
Committee members noted the importance of drafting policy language that addresses two areas: Conference Room Use and Channel 17 access.
