Called to order 6:30 p.m.
Present: Burton, Cragin, Descheneaux, Goosman, Jossick, Manna, and Nezvesky
Marshals Present: Halstead
Cragin recognized Manna and Descheneaux as new commissioners.
Moved into Executive Session at 6:35 p.m. to discuss the new appointment of a Deputy Fire Marshal.
Moved out of Executive Session at 7:10 p.m.
Cragin stated that Ryan Clark has been appointed Deputy Fire Marshal.
Budget Discussion:
Burton stated the budget is due to the town by November 28th. Burton would like to go over a few items with the commissioners before the due date. Therefore, a review of each line item was made showing budgeted and actual spends for the year.
Cragin suggests showing the justified budget increases per line item and present it to the First Selectman after completion by the budget committee.
Decreases should be made at the Committee level initially. If there are no cuts from a department, then there is no need to meet with the Budget Committee (unless specifically requested by the chief).
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
