ANNUAL DINNER MEETING
October 27, 2008

Commissioners Present: M. Burton, K. Cragin, J. Dugan, L. Goosman, R. McCulloch, B. O’Keefe, and M. Wlasuk
Marshals Present: W. Halstead, R. Frampton, S. Ketchum, and D. Ober.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Cragin at 6:45 p.m.
· Cragin welcomed new commissioner, Rob McCulloch representing Newtown Hook & Ladder.
· Cragin thanked Commissioner McCarthy for his dedication to the BOFC during his term of service.
· Cragin thanked Officer Steve Ketchum for his service; especially in being the liaison between the fire and police departments.
· Cragin thanked Administrative Assistant, Nancy Kokoski-Schreiner and Secretary for the BOFC, Terry Hennessey, for all their help and assistance throughout the year.
The purpose of this meeting was to address the following issues:
1. Reappointment of Fire Marshal
A motion was made by L. Goosman, and seconded by J. Dugan, to reappoint W. Halstead as Fire Marshal for another year term.
Motion passed unanimously.
2. Deputy Fire Marshals
A motion was made by L. Goosman, and seconded by M. Wlasuk to reappoint Deputy Fire Marshals, S. Ketchum, J. Fernandez, R. Frampton, D. Ober and M. Zilinek for another year term.
Motion passed unanimously.
3. Election of Chairman of the BOFC
K. Cragin’s name was previously submitted for nomination for Chairman, and hearing no additional nominations from the floor, L. Goosman made a motion, seconded by J. Dugan to elect K. Cragin as Chairman for another year term.
Motion passed unanimously.
4. Election of Vice Chairman of the BOFC
L. Goosman’s name was previously submitted for nomination for Vice-Chairman, and hearing no additional nominations from the floor, a motion was made by M. Wlasuk and seconded by J. Dugan to elect Goosman as Vice Chairman of the Board of Fire Commissioner for another year term.
Motion passed unanimously.
Cragin announced that all committees will be restructured and new information will be distributed to all the committee members and the BOFC.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
