The Board of Ethics held a Meeting on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in Conference Room #1 in the Newtown Municipal Center, 3 Primrose Street, Newtown, Connecticut.
Board Members Present: Brian Ochs (Chair); Stephen Sedensky (Vice-Chair); Suzanne Copp George Schmidt, and Janice Butler.
Public Present: No public was present.
Chairman Brian Ochs called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Mr. Ochs distributed information from the Town Attorney, Monte Frank from Cohen and Wolf. Atty. Frank answered questions posed by the Board regarding clarification of process for the Board of Ethics.
The Board of Ethics procedures and protocols were reviewed. It was noted that the Board of Ethics can adopt rules and regulations as long as they do not conflict with the Connecticut General Statutes or the Town’s Charter.
Mr. Schmidt motioned to adjourn the meeting. Atty. Sedensky seconded the motion. The Board adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
