The STEAP Business Assistance Grant Committee held a Regular Meeting on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the Town of Newtown Municipal Center, 3 Primrose Street, Newtown, CT 06470.
These minutes are subject to the approval of the STEAP Business Assistance Grant Committee.

Absent: ~ Walt Motyka
Also Present: Six members of the public were present.
Liz Stocker called the meeting to order at 7:04 PM.
Public Participation:
Kaki Taylor, Newtown Youth Academy; Fred Taylor; Sharon Doherty, PJ’s Laundromat; Jill Kerler, Sandy Hook Wine and Liquor; Mike Kerler, Sandy Hook Wine and Liquor; Steve Schmidt, The Toy Tree.
Questions and discussion followed regarding specifics of the Business Assistance Grant process. A summary of frequently asked questions will be posted on www.newtown-ct.gov and www.newtown.org.
STEAP Business Assistance Committee Discussion:
Discussions regarding the application review process took place. The outcome will be posted along with the applications on www.newtown-ct.gov and www.newtown.org . It was decided that each application will have a point person assigned to it, and be circulated to other members to provide input if they wish.
After the application deadline of February 15, the committee will reconvene to discuss the status of all applications that were received.
Elana Bertram motioned to adjourn the meeting at 8:43 PM. Jean Leonard seconded the motion. The motion was approved unanimously.
