The Economic Development Commission held a special meeting on Monday, January 12, 2009 at the multi-purpose building in Sandy Hook, CT 06482.
PRESENT: Robert Rau (Chair) and Catherine Adsitt.
ABSENT: Mitchell Bolinsky, Robert Morey, John Torok, Ted Kreinik
ALSO PRESENT: Elizabeth Stocker, Director of Planning and Community Development;
Fred Hurley, Director of Public Works; Rick Conte, Water and Sewer Authority; Robert Malton, Business Development Manager, Opel; Bill Todd, Engineer/Applications, Opel; and Kendra Bobowick, Reporter for the Newtown Bee.
The meeting was never called to order due to a lack of quorum.
Those in attendance informally discussed the feasibility of installing solar trackers at the Newtown Water Treatment Facility and the time constraints in pursuing a grant from the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund.
