The Economic Development Commission held a regular meeting on Tuesday, July, 18, 2006 at the Multi-Purpose Building, Riverside Road, Sandy Hook, CT.  Chairman Chet Hopper called the meeting to order at 7:36 p.m.

PRESENT: Chet Hopper, Robert Rau, Joseph Hemingway, Tom Long  ABSENT:  Charles Stofko, Theodore Kreinik, Brian Aumueller, Bruce Walczak, Kim Danziger

ALSO PRESENT: Community Development Director Elizabeth Stocker, Michael Bodetti and Jordan Gurevich (TNT), one member of the press

There was not a quorum so no action could be taken.

COMMUNICATIONS: None

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: Michael Bodetti, President of TNT presented a proposal for construction of a 29,000 sq. ft. high scale office building in Curtis Corporate Park.  The cost of the structure would be between $4 to $6 million dollars.  TNT is a rapidly expanding Telecommunications Expense Management Business.  TNT would like the support of the Commission for the construction of this corporate facility.  They are also applying to the Commission for the Business Incentive Program.  Mr. Hopper indicated there is support from the Commission for their project but action cannot be taken until the next meeting when there is a quorum.

ADJOURNMENT: Mr. Hemingway moved to adjourn the meeting.  Motion seconded and unanimously carried.  Having no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:35 p.m.
