Meeting Minutes
The Newtown Cultural Arts Commission (NCAC) held a meeting on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at 7:00 PM in the Old Courtroom at Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street, Newtown, CT.
Members Present: Jennifer Johnston, Joe Grasso, Rob Kaiser, Donna Mangiafico, Linda Watson
Members Absent: Debbie Aurelia, Martin Blanco, Marina Moscovici
Auxiliary Members Present: Jennifer Rogers
Jennifer Johnston called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
The minutes of the October 23, November 20, December 9, December 18, December 23, 2008 and January 22, 2009 minutes were approved as written.
Officer Reports:
The CT Film Festival was discussed. The date of April 25, 2009 was chosen. The location was discussed and the members present voted to hold the CT Film Festival at the Edmond Town Hall Theatre. Debbie Aurelia will contact the Newtown Inn regarding refreshments. Rob Kaiser will contact local musicians to perform at the VIP reception. Martin Blanco will send a press release for review and will draft a form for ticket reservations and advertising.
Martin Blanco reported that the next Flagpole Radio Café will be March 7, 2009. The theme of the show will be St. Patrick’s Day.
Linda Watson reviewed the revenue and expense report.
Two special meetings will be scheduled to discuss the CT Film Festival - Thursday, March 12, 2009 and Thursday, April 9, 2009 in the Old Courtroom at Edmond Town Hall.
The next regular meeting will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2009, 7:00 PM in the Old Courtroom at Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street, Newtown, CT.
