Meeting Minutes
The Newtown Cultural Arts Commission (NCAC) held a meeting on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 5:30 PM in the Old Courtroom at Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street, Newtown, CT.
Members Present: Debbie Aurelia, Martin Blanco, Joe Grasso, Jennifer Johnston, Rob Kaiser, Donna Mangiafico, Linda Watson
Members Absent: Marina Moscovici
Auxiliary Members Present: Jennifer Rogers
Jennifer Johnston called the meeting to order at 5:35 PM.
July 1, 2009 – June 30, 2010 Budget
The July 1, 2009 – June 30, 2010 budget was discussed. Six members present, a majority, voted to request the amount of $7,000.
Officer Reports
Officer reports were tabled until the December 18, 2008 meeting.
Jennifer Rogers discussed the Amahl and the Night Visitors production. The Western Connecticut State University Opera Ensemble will perform an encore of their traditional holiday classic~Amahl and the Night Visitors by Gian Carlo Menotti at the Edmund Town Hall on~Saturday, December 13, 2008 at~8~PM. ~Tickets are~$12 Adults and $8 seniors/students. Jennifer Rogers will send Jennifer Johnston fliers to print which will be posted around town. Jennifer Rogers will also purchase a poster to advertise the production.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:15 PM.
The next meeting will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2008, 7:00 PM in the Old Courtroom at Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street, Newtown, CT.
