BOROUGH OF NEWTOWN
NEWTOWN, CONNECTICUT
Minutes of the Annual Meeting of the Borough of Newtown Board of Burgesses on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Edmond Town Hall, Newtown. Warden Gaston called the meeting to order at 7:38 p.m.
Present: Warden James Gaston, Senior Burgess Joan Crick, Second Senior Burgess Joseph Maher, Burgess Betsy Kenyon, Burgess Anthony Baiad, Burgess Bill Lucas, Clerk Ann Benore, Treasurer and Burgess Marie Walker, Tax Collector Jodie Enriquez
Absent: Zoning Officer Jean St. Jean
Clerk Benore provided the annual reports for the following departments: ~Building, Zoning, Engineering, Zoning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, Conservation, and Health Department. ~The Historic District Commission’s report is going to be submitted as well. ~
Warden Gaston asked that everyone review the reports.~He thanked everyone for another good year and expressed that it is a pleasure to see everything working well.
Burgess Kenyon commended Warden Gaston on his outstanding leadership, the Board agreed.
Treasurer Marie Walker presented the Treasurer’s Report for the Fiscal Year Ended June 30, 2011.
There being no further business, Burgess Kenyon ~made a motion to adjourn the Annual Meeting at 7:48 p.m., seconded by Burgess Walker and unanimously approved.
