ALSO PRESENT: CHRIS KELSEY
1. Total Landscaping & Tree Service, (MV)
· Total Landscaping & Tree Service own a 1984 Peterbuilt Tractor assessed at $30,930. Disagrees with the assessment due to the fact the truck is over 20 years old & has over one million miles. Went to Peterbuilt dealership and they offered $1,500 for the tractor to be used as parts only. The truck is hardly used and it is an antique. Feels assessment is unfair based on the fact there is no book value for the truck and a value was just applied.
· Approved: 1984 Peterbuilt tractor assessment was reduced by $28,830. Since there is no book value for the truck, the Board of Assessment Appeals took the value given by the Peterbuilt dealership and multiplied it by (2) to get the full 100% value of $3,000. The new assessment value is $2,100.
2. Mirelle Capozza, (MV)
· Appellant did not show.
3. Robert & Diane Licata, (MV)
· Mr. & Mrs. Licata own a 1999 Dodge Durango assessed at $3,750. Disagrees with the assessment based on excessive mileage. The odometer on the Durango read 172,905.
· Approved: 1999 Dodge Durango assessment was reduced by $950 by taking 40% of the trade-in value of $3,375 which equaled $1,350 off of the NADA full value of $5,350. That brings the new 100% value down to $4,000. The new assessment value is $2,800.
4. Tammara McMahon, (MV)
· Appellant did not show.
5. Vincent Cannato, (MV)
· Mr. Cannato owns a 1989 Toyota Halfton Truck assessed at $1,610. Disagrees
with assessment based on the fact the truck is an antique it is over 20 years old.
· Approved: 1989 Toyota Halfton Truck assessment was reduced by $1,110.
The new assessment value is $500 based on the antique motor vehicle affidavit.
