On June 30, 2013, Pat Llodra, Newtown First Selectman, was honored by the Women’s Campaign School (WCS) at Yale University. Both Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman and Senator Richard Blumenthal joined WCS in recognizing Selectman Llodra as a true CT leader.
During that event, the Women’s Campaign School at Yale University announced the establishment of the Patricia Llodra Scholarship Fund to support women leaders who have had to endure unexpected tragedy, who have given a strong voice to the voiceless, and who have led their communities toward healing by working collaboratively and across the political aisle for the greater good.
The Women’s Campaign School at Yale University is a nonpartisan, issue-neutral leadership program, whose mission is to increase the number and influence of women in elected and appointed office in the United States and around the globe.
