NEWTON BOARD OF SELECTMEN

MEETING MINUTES
- Chairman McCarthy opened the meeting at 6:15pm Present for the meeting is Selectman Ray Thayer and Selectman Charlie Melvin.
- Selectman Melvin Motioned to sign “Intent to Cut Supplement”, filed by Todd Fitzgerald at 85 South Main St. This supplement goes with the original “Intent to Cut” filed in May of 2012. Second by Selectman Thayer, motion passes per unanimous vote.
- Selectman McCarthy discussed memo being sent to Department Heads regarding their 2013 Budgets. The Board of Selectmen would like to add to that memo the following: The board is requesting the department heads submit a budget that is as close to level funding as possible”.
- The Board of Selectmen discussed the memo regarding the Public Hearing for 2 Amesbury Road, and approved the memo and date for the Hearing on November 20th, 2012.
- Selectman McCarthy motioned to go into Nonpublic Session under RSA 91-A:3 II (c) - Job Descriptions, second by Selectman Thayer. Motion passes with a unanimous roll call vote.
- Chairman McCarthy motioned to close the nonpublic session at 8:05pm. Second by Selectman Melvin, per a unanimous roll call vote, the minutes of the meeting will remain confidential until in the opinion of the majority of the members the circumstances no longer apply, except to announce the following:
The next non-public meeting to continue discussing “Job Descriptions” has been scheduled for October 22nd at 6:00pm.
Chairman McCarthy adjourned the meeting at 8:30pm.
