NEWTON BOARD OF SELECTMEN

PUBLIC MEETING

  • Call to Order, Roll Call Vote
Selectman McCarthy opened the meeting at 4:40pm.  In attendance were Selectman Trisha McCarthy, Selectman Lawrence B. Foote, Town Administrator Nancy J. Wrigley, Office Manager Mary B. Winglass and Road Agent Michael A. Pivero.  

Chairman Raymond D. Thayer was not in attendance.

Selectman McCarthy motioned to go into Nonpublic Session under RSA 91-A:3 II (a) – Personnel Matters.  Second by Selectman Foote.  Motion passed with a unanimous roll call vote.

Selectman McCarthy motioned to close the nonpublic session at 5:10pm.  Second by Selectman Foote.  Per unanimous roll call vote, the minutes of the meeting will remain confidential until in the opinion of the majority of the members the circumstances no longer apply.

Announcements
  • Other Business, Sign Manifests, Requisitions, Abatements, Tax Credits, Correspondence and Appointments
  • The Board reviewed the final Vendor Manifest in the amount of $54,777.73.  This manifest cancels out the vendor manifest signed on January 30, 2012.
  • The Board briefly discussed the recent article in the Eagle Tribune regarding the position of Bookkeeper/Payroll Administrator’s position and the comments by the Department of Revenue Administration.  Selectman McCarthy, Selectman Thayer and Town Administrator Wrigley all added that they spoke with the Department of Revenue Administration.
  • Adjourn
Selectman McCarthy adjourned the meeting at 5:21pm
