NEWTON BOARD OF SELECTMEN

PUBLIC MEETING
- Call to Order, Roll Call Vote
Chairman Thayer called the meeting to order 1:15pm. In attendance were Chairman Raymond D. Thayer, Selectman Lawrence B. Foote and Office Manager Mary B. Winglass. Minutes were transcribed and typed by Office Manager Winglass.
Selectman Trisha McCarthy and Town Administrator Nancy Wrigley were not in attendance.

- Other Business, Sign Manifests, Requisitions, Abatements, Tax Credits, Correspondence and Appointments
- The Board signed a Vendor Manifest in the amount of $52,617.65
- The Board signed a second Vendor Manifest in the amount of $2,129.92
- The Board signed three copies of the final 2012 Town Warrant
- The Board reviewed the Payroll Manifest for the period of January 1, 2012 to January 14, 2012.
John Paiva of J & J Enterprises of Kingston asked to speak to the Selectmen about the well that his property shares with the Central Fire Station. The well is owned by J & J Enterprises and since the Town of Newton is installing a new well for the Fire Station he wants to make sure the Fire Station is completely disconnected from his well. Selectman Foote responded the McKinney is going to disconnect and we can ask them to put something in writing. Mr. Paiva asked to be contacted when the well is disconnected for he would like to see it happen. Selectman Foote responded that once McKinney starts trenching and digging to complete the disconnect, he will contact Mr. Paiva.
Chairman Thayer adjourned the meeting at 1:25pm.
