  • Appointment for Michael Pivero as Emergency Management Logistics Officer
Pivero informed the Board that under the Government Surplus program municipalities have access to vehicles but in order to move forward he needs to be appointed under Emergency Management as the contact person.

Selectman Foote motioned to appoint Michael A. Pivero as the Emergency Management Logistics Officer with an expiration date of April 15, 2014.  Second by Chairman Thayer.  Vote: Unanimous.

  • Widow Makers in the Towns Right-of-Way
Road Agent Mike Pivero informed the Board that the town could have up to 80 widow makers currently in town due to the recent snowstorm.  Some are smaller than others and Pivero contacted Unitil to try to address this issue but they will not be much help in the time frame that we should address them.  Pivero added that the cost could be up to $5,000 and that is just a guess; he added that as of right now he does not have the funds in his budget to cover this expense.  Pivero stated that he will know better in the third week of December as to any funding available for this expense from his budget for it is all based upon the number of snowstorms between now and then.

Selectman Foote motioned that due to the potential falling limbs entering pedestrians and motorist’s right-of-way, the Board authorized the Road Agent to hire a Tree Crew for this potential public safety hazard due to the October 29th snowstorm.  Second by Chairman Thayer.  Vote: Unanimous.

  • The Board signed the Vendor Manifest dated November 7, 2011 in the amount of $1,297,510.45.
  • The Board signed the Payroll Manifest dated October 23rd through November 5th.
  • Adjourn
Chairman Thayer motioned to adjourn at 4:01pm.  Second by Selectman Foote.  Vote: Unanimous.

                                                Respectfully Submitted,

                                                Mary B. Winglass, Office Manager
