SELECTMEN’S PUBLIC MEETING
October 22, 2010
Chairman McCarthy called the meeting to order at 9:35am. Present were Chairman Trisha J. McCarthy, Selectman Raymond D. Thayer, Town Administrator Nancy Wrigley and Department of Revenue Administration Representative Jeanne Samms.

A. Department of Revenue Administration Re: Set 2010 Tax Rate
The Board discussed and decided to use funds from the fund balance to help reduce the tax rate in conjunction with the new assessment value of the town. Selectman Robert Donovan was called for his input and ultimately a tax rate figure was decided upon by the Selectmen. DRA Jeanne Samms hopes to certify the tax rate by the end of October or the beginning of November. Once the tax rate is certified it will then be made public.
