SELECTMEN’S PUBLIC MEETING
September 14, 2009
Chairman McCarthy opened the public meeting at 5:35pm. In attendance were Chairman Trisha J. McCarthy, Selectman Robert S. Donovan, Jr., Town Administrator Nancy J. Wrigley and Office Manager Mary B. Winglass. Minutes were transcribed and typed by Office Manager Winglass.
Selectman Raymond D. Thayer was not present.
Chairman McCarthy motioned to go into nonpublic session under RSA 91-A:3 II (b) - Highway Department. Second by Selectman Donovan. Roll Call Vote: Chairman McCarthy – yes; Selectman Donovan – yes. Vote: Unanimous.
Chairman McCarthy motioned to close the nonpublic session at 6:32pm. Second by Selectman Donovan. Per unanimous roll call vote, the minutes of the meeting will remain confidential until, in the opinion of the majority of the members, the circumstances no longer apply except to announce the following;
- to hire Glenn Hughes at $10.63 per hour at Grade IV, step 9 on a probationary period of two weeks for the Highway Department, contingent upon a clear background check, as a permanent part time Laborer/Operator
- to adopt the Highway Department Heavy Equipment Operator job summary and the Laborer job summary with the noted changes
- to step Ronald Jackson up to Foreman at Grade XIII, step 1 effective as of his anniversary date
- to add to Grade V of the Salary Classification Plan, part-time Laborer
- to move Harry Castle to the position of part-time Laborer at Grade V, step 9 after receiving a favorable release to work paperwork signed by his doctor
- contact Town Attorney to draw up an hold harmless agreement and to require a minimum of $1,000,000 of liability insurance from the Carriage Town Equestrian Center and no bouncy house per the Local Government Center.
