SELECTMEN’S PUBLIC MEETING
June 23, 2009
Chairman McCarthy opened the public meeting at 5:40pm. In attendance were Chairman Trisha J. McCarthy, Selectman Raymond D. Thayer, Selectman Robert S. Donovan, Jr., Town Administrator Nancy J. Wrigley and Office Manager Mary B. Winglass. Part of the meeting was audio taped for there was a problem with the machine; minutes were transcribed and typed by Office Manager Winglass.
Chairman McCarthy motioned to go into nonpublic session under RSA 91-A:3 II (a) – Transfer Station. Second by Selectman Donovan. Roll Call Vote: Chairman McCarthy – yes; Selectman Thayer – yes; Selectman Donovan – yes. Vote: Unanimous.
Chairman McCarthy motioned to close the nonpublic session at 8:29pm. Second by Selectman Thayer. Per unanimous roll call vote, the minutes of the meeting will remain confidential until in the opinion of the majority of the members, the circumstances no longer apply except to announce the following;
- The Board unanimously voted to discharge Karri Konga, part time Transfer Station Attendant effective tonight at 7:20pm and Robert White, Transfer Station Lead Attendant effective tonight at 8pm.
The Board directed Town Administrator Nancy Wrigley to contact Payroll Administrator Kim Hughes to prepare final paychecks for both Kerri Konga and Robert White.

Chairman McCarthy motioned to approve the hiring of another lifeguard, Alexandria Hodgman based upon a recommendation from the Recreation Commission. Second by Selectman Thayer. Vote: Unanimous.
Office Manager Mary Winglass addressed the Board to ask for help to determine recycling pickup at the Town Hall and the Gale Library; pickup was done in the past by prior Transfer Station Manager Andrew Morse. Chairman McCarthy offered to speak with Road Agent Mike Pivero to enlist the help of the Road Crew during this interim period.

Chairman McCarthy motioned to adjourn at 8:34pm. Second by Selectman Thayer. Vote: Unanimous.
