Selectmen’s Meeting
December 7, 2006
Chairman Nelson called the meeting to order at 6:57pm. In attendance were Chairman Gary F. Nelson, Selectman John P. Ulcickas, Selectman Robert S. Donovan, Jr., Town Administrator Nancy J. Wrigley and Office Manager Mary B. Winglass. Minutes were transcribed and typed Office Manager Mary Winglass.
Review of the 2007 proposed budgets, default budget and warrant article
Summer and Winter Highway Budgets
The Board reviewed the proposed budgets submitted by Road Agent Frank Gibbs and decided to send a memo to the Road Agent requesting a list of projected summer projects for 2007.
Financial Administration Budget
The Board reviewed the updated Financial Administration budget.
Selectman Ulcickas motioned to accept the Financial Administration 2007 Budget for $145,843. Second by Selectman Donovan. Vote: Unanimous.
Care of Trees
Chairman Nelson motioned to accept the Care of Trees budget for $4,000. Second by Selectman Donovan. Vote: Chairman Nelson and Selectman Donovan – yes; Selectman Ulcickas – no. Motion passed.
Fire Department
Selectman Ulcickas motioned to accept the Fire Department budget for $206,021.00. Second by Chairman Nelson. Vote: Unanimous.
The Board discussed the salary line item in the budget and decided to speak with the Fire Chief next year to discuss coverage scheduling.
Selectman Ulcickas closed the meeting at 8:14pm. Second by Chairman Nelson. Vote: Unanimous.
