Meeting Minutes of April 26, 2006
In attendance: Bob Bartlett, Chief Streeter, Chief Ingalls, Bob Donovan, Bob Donovan Jr., Rick Daniels, Eileen Patterson.
Meeting called to order at 6:20 PM.
New business/discussion: Changes to be made to the conceptual drawings of the police station are as follows:
· Eliminate the covered vehicle parking
· The lounge to be reduced to a 12’x12’ room
· The booking area to be reduced to 18’x18’
· Each stall in the garage bays to be reduced to 18’x24’
· Eliminate the open office area
· Eliminate all but one interview room which would be a 10’x10’ room
· Change the work room to a detectives office
· Combine the ante room with the conference room
· Reduce the multi-purpose room to a capacity of 55 people
Discussion was also had as to whether a basement is needed, and if it is possible to eliminate the second floor, putting everything on one floor and expanding office space into the bays. Further discussion regarding such questions will follow once the final changes have been made for the fire station.
Discussion was had regarding renovating the present police station, several questions will be asked of the conservation committee regarding wetlands. These questions will be answered at a future meeting, and discussed again.
The next meeting will be on Wednesday, May 10, 2006, at 6:30 PM, at the Central Fire Station. This meeting will be for the purpose of making final changes to the fire station conceptual drawings.
