Meeting Minutes of March 23, 2006
In attendance: Bob Bartlett, Eileen Patterson, Chief Bill Ingalls, Rick Daniels, Bob Donovan, Steve Palmer, Horace Williams, John Owens EMD.
Invited guest: Frank Lospanato, Kim Vaillant, Bob Donovan Jr., Kim Casey
Meeting called to order at 6:30 PM.
Minutes of February 16 and 23, 2006 accepted.
New business/discussion: Discussion was had regarding the warrant request presented to the selectmen in November of 2005. A work session will be set up with the selectmen to present them with our plans.
Architect John Otto was present and submitted new conceptual drawings. The new drawings consisted of drawings with a basement, the outside concept of the building, and changes that were discussed at a previous meeting. There was also discussion about builders, prices, final drawings and getting things out to an estimator.
Bill Poleatewich Jr. of Dawn Solar in Brentwood, made a presentation of use of solar energy, and how alternative energy could be used by the complex. There was discussion of grants, how state and federal monies may be available for town municipalities. Kim Valliant (Planning Board) spoke of how she will continue to research grants etc. for the town to look into.
It was agreed upon to forward an invoice from the architect onto the Selectmen for payment.
The next meeting (work session) will be on Monday, April 10,2006, at 6:30 PM, at the Central Fire Station.
