NEWTON PLANNING BOARD
MINUTES OF WORK SESSION
FEBRUARY 24, 2015
1. Call to Order: Chairman Barbara White called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. In attendance were: Chairman Barbara White; Vice Chairman Jim Doggett; Planning Board members Sandra Estabrook and Robert Hamel; and Alternate Members Bill Smith and Mary Allen. Minutes were transcribed by Chairman Barbara White.
White appointed Allen to stand in for Miller.
White appointed Smith to stand in for Blanchette.
2. Other Board Business.
a. Acceptance of minutes.
Allen moved to accept the minutes of the January 29 meeting. Second by Smith. Motion carried unanimously.
b. Manifests.
White presented an operating budget manifest to the Board. The invoice reflected payment of the telephone bill.
Doggett moved to pay the operating budget manifest in the amount of $55.01. Second by Allen. Motion carried unanimously.
White presented a NPREA manifest to the Board. The invoices reflected payment to the Town Engineer for professional services.
Doggett moved to pay the NPREA manifest in the amount of $359.52. Second by Hamel. Motion carried unanimously.
c. Correspondence.
White informed the Board that the Spring Planning and Zoning Conference will be held in Concord on Saturday, May 2. More information will be forthcoming closer to the date. Board members were encouraged to attend. Conference fee and mileage will be reimbursed.
d. Christos Valhouli, representative for 125 Development NH Corp, was present and requested a denial from the Board for the Chairman to sign the Certificate of Occupancy for the building at Lot 27-3 Phase II (8 Puzzle Lane). Mr. Valhouli was informed the Board could neither approve nor deny the request.
The next Planning Board meeting will be on March 24 as Town elections are on March 10.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:40 pm.
