NOTICE AND AGENDA
JULY 7, 2009
Notice is hereby given that the Newton Planning Board will conduct a Public Meeting on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 beginning at 7:00 pm at the Newton Town Hall to discuss the following:
- Maplevale Builders – Bond Reduction Request for the Katherine Drive Subdivision.
- The Newton Planning Board will meet with representatives from Plan New Hampshire - The Foundation for Shaping the Built Environment.
During this preliminary meeting, discussion will focus on plans for the intensive design charrette scheduled to occur this fall.
Goals for the charrette include: identifying proper locations and appropriate uses for mixed-use zones and finding ways to provide business opportunities and services without sacrificing Newton's rural character and historic charm.
Ultimately, the Planning Board aims to develop a more cohesive zoning plan based on the outcomes of these meetings.
The preliminary meeting and the design charrette are open to the public and participation from a diverse group of citizens and business and community leaders will be crucial to their success.
