COMMUNICATIONS and CORRESPONDANCE:
The Trustees thanked Terry for her initiative during the ice storm and power outages, Terry made sure the library’s pipes were drained and antifreeze placed in the toilet. Also, when the furnace went off, she came to open the library for the furnace to be fixed. Her husband and son assisted as well.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
The Public Internet Access Policy was signed by the board.

NEW BUSINESS:
A call chain for security purposes is already in place. Terry used this phone chain
to handle the ice storm emergency. Due to many land lines being out during the storm, it was decided that a list of cell phones be added to the land line phone list.  No further action will be taken until the results of the town’s safety committee’s hearing are compiled and published.
Carol Szot will be attending the upcoming budget hearing.
Carol is finishing the quilt that will be raffled off by the Friends of the Library.
Raffle tickets will be available at the library and during the election in March.
The drawing will be held on March11, 2009.
The ‘Food for Fines’ will be renamed, ‘Fine Free Month’.
The Gale Library has received several generous donations. The Friends of the Library gave $1,000 to be used for books. The Suraci Family gave $1000.00 to be used for the children’s area. And Jeanne Seekamp donated $50.00. We greatly appreciate their
continued financial assistance.
