Bill Landry called the meeting to order at 7:01 PM.
Secretary’s Report – Mary Riordan
Cheryl Saunders made a motion to accept the minutes of August 13, 2012. Karen O’Malley seconded the motion. The motion passed on a unanimous vote.
Treasurer’s Report – Bill Landry
The Checking expenses were for the electric bill and memory for the laptop. The Money Market income was from interest. Cheryl Saunders made a motion to accept the Treasurers’ Reports. Kathy Meserve seconded the motion. The motion passed on a unanimous vote.
Old Business:
Fall Festival Update: Kathy Meserve reported the glasses have been reserved, the posters and tickets are made and we have the paper goods. The committee still needs to choose the wine. Marilyn Landry suggested not having as many books displayed at the Festival. There was discussion on what the attendance might be since it is an election year and on gift certificates and door prizes. Kathy asked if anyone had suggestions on which wine to have. There was discussion on what wines we’ve had in the past. Bill will make posters with information on the wines. John Meserve reported he sent out 94 sponsor letters.

Reports of Curators & Committee Chairpersons:
Curators: Museum Opening -- The Museum Opening will be Sept. 23rd from 1 – 3 PM. Marilyn and Bill Landry will be at the Primary Schoolhouse. Mary Riordan and Mike Hughes will be at the Marshall House. The barn will not be open. Cheryl Saunders will talk to Tim about cleaning the Cobbler’s shop.
Basement window repair – Bill Landry reported the vinyl windows have been installed.
Brush growth at Marshall House & Barn – Ron Saunders reported the brush around the barn has been cleared.
Hayford Carriage "repairs", put on blocks etc. – Ron Saunders reported his cousin does not know any wheelwrights in New England. She offered her help if we get a list of things to be done to the carriage. There was discussion on the tilt of the wheels and what needs to be done to repair them. Bill Landry thinks Ann Miles donated covers for the carriages.
Historian: No report.
Archivist: Accessioning – Karen O’Malley reported she is finished with Table 2 and has started on Table 3 in the Schoolhouse. She is making a list of items she has questions on. Karen received the laptop from Mary Riordan. Ron Saunders had questions on how to fill out the accession forms. Karen explained the additional sheet of classifications he should use. Karen reported she has accessioned approximately 112 objects this year. We have accessioned approximately 525 objects.
Kathy Meserve reported that Mary Allen has some pictures of the 250th Anniversary for us.
Programs: No report.
Correspondence: Bill Landry received an email from John Owens, the Town Tree Warden about the trees around the Primary Schoolhouse. Bill replied to John it was OK to do it.
Bill Landry received an email from Connee Cote regarding a search for a historic home she considered buying in the early ‘70’s. The home was a center chimney cape with an attached barn. Bill sent her our pictures of this kind of house. The house she was looking for was Ron & Cheryl Saunders’s.

Cheryl Saunders made a motion to adjourn. Karen O’Malley seconded the motion. The motion passed on a unanimous vote. Bill Landry adjourned the meeting at 7:40PM.
