Reports of Curators & Committee Chairpersons:
Curator: Ron asked for suggestion on what to display for the Fall Festival besides the cannon. Bill Landry will bring the poster with the pictures from the Open House and the poster with pictures of the renovations. Ron asked how many display tables will be set up. There will be two large tables in the lobby and the two round table in the offices. The tables can be set up after 12:30 PM on Oct 22nd. John Meserve suggested we display the books with newspaper clippings. John reported we may be getting Town Reports from Bob Donovan. Ron & Cheryl will look at them so we don't end up with duplicates. Ron Saunders reported the Barn Cleaning has been postponed. He will notify members when he reschedules it.
Historian: Courtney will print Oct 22nd from the diaries for a display at the Festival to show what people did on the day in history.
Archivist: No report.
Programs: Sally Woodman sent a DVD of the Whittier presentation to Ms. Costello. She will contact NH Humanities after the first of the year to plan 2012 presentations. We will have 3 presentations next year.
Fall Festival: John Meserve reported we have given guest tickets to the people who donated their time working on the Schoolhouse this year. John asked if anyone had folding tables. Ron Saunders, Mary Riordan and Diane Morin said they had tables they'd bring to the bank. Bill Landry suggested giving Mike Bauer a complementary ticket. Mike has donated Railroad pictures. We will have displays on tables. John sent the press release to the Carriage Town News, Lawrence Eagle Tribune, and the Haverhill Gazette. He sent the information to the Plaistow Area Chamber Exchange. The sign in front of the bank will display the date and time of the event. We'll have some door prizes. John is looking for a few more donations. The wine is from Sweet Baby Vineyards in Kensington
and Jewell Town Vineyard. The supplies have all been purchased. John reported he has received $500 more in sponsor donations. Cheryl Saunders will bring a cheese and cracker plate and Sally Woodman will bring food in addition to the ones that John & Kathy Meserve get. John will notify Chief Streeter of the event. The bank will be open at 4:00PM for members to finish the setup. Karen O'Malley asked what we were going to do with the money from the event. Ron suggested it be kept in the bank account until we need it. Ron suggested we trim back the trees at the Primary Schoolhouse to prevent damage to the building.

MUSEUM TOUR:
At the conclusion of the meeting, Don Slater took the group on an amazing tour of the Peabody Archaeological Museum which was built in 1903. We saw parts of the museum not generally open to the public. The museum has approximately 500,000 artifacts, some dating back over 10,000 years.
