Conservation Commission Minutes for January 6, 2011

In Attendance: Nancy, Trisha, Pat, Mary Anne and Brian.

Nancy called the meeting to order at 8:00pm
Kim recorded the Minutes.

Acceptance of Minutes-
Correspondence-
  • Civil Construction Management, Inc.  Abutters Notice. Sandra Macaulay Map 4, Lot 52 in South Hampton, NH. Ms. Macaulay submitted a Standard Dredge and Fill Application.  Wetlands impact of 1265 square feet of wetlands impact.
  • NH Dept. of Revenue Administration Notice of Intent to Cut Wood or Timber. Ann Araki of 8 Sarah’s Way, Newton NH 03858
  • Land Use Change Tax Bill. $10,176.76 Deposited into the Conservation Fund.
  • NHDES- Request for more information regarding the Minimum Impact Expedited Application. Robert Peterson. 21 Wemarks Road, Newton NH 03858.
  • NHDES- Request for more information regarding the Minimum Impact Expedited Application. Robert Johnson. 19 Wemarks Road, Newton NH 03858.
  • NH Association of Conservation Commissions. 54 Portsmouth Street, Concord NH 03301. Invoice for Annual Dues in the amount of $250.00
Nancy motioned to pay the NH Conservation Commissions $250.00 for Newton Conservation Commissions annual dues. Trisha Second. All in Favor. No further discussion.

  • 2011 Ducks Unlimited Calendar courtesy from  Wetlands Preservation, Inc. of Plaistow, NH
  • Pond Knolls Estate, Newton, NH Tax Map/ Block/ Lot# 4/5/13. NH DES amendment to permit issued on February 27, 2009 granting a five year extension.
  • Marden Meadows Phase II Standard Dredge and Fill Application. Map 4, Block 6, Lot 3. Residential Subdivision.  Reviewed Application. Brian explained the Archeological process. Reviewed to see if the survey should be performed.  
  •  Lewis Builders, Sargent Woods. Results of Archeological Survey performed by Victoria Bunker Inc. Phase 1A and 1B Assessment. Brian concluded by delaying the report, only a small amount of the land was surveyed.
  •   NH DES to Jeanne LeBlanc for Property on 22 Marcoux Road, Newton NH. TMB 1/1/8.  Application returned due to missing fee. Subsurface Systems Bureau Individual Septic Disposal Systems.
Other Business-  Trisha discussed Bio Monitoring Day and it success in the past. Possible planning another Bio Monitoring Day at the Busch Farm. Discussed ideas including an all day event, and an artifact hunt

Announcement- Our next Conservation Commission meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 7:30 pm.
