Location 19 & 21 Wendmarks Road, Newton, NH

Present: Chairmen Peter Mears,
Pat Wonson, Mary Anne Lapierre and Trisha McCarthy

Meeting Started:  9:00am at 19 and 21 Wenmarks Rd, Newton, NH

Having a quorum present, Chairman Peter Mears, called the meeting to order at 9:05am.  The home owner escorted the conservation members to the water in order to observe the current retaining wall.  The wall is in bad shape with cracks and visual effects of ground pressure pushing on the wall towards the water.  Photos were taken of the wall.   Currently the water is about 6 feet away from wall, allowing the opportunity to work on the all without disturbing water.  Best management practices will be followed during this project.  The maple tree (previously referred to as an oak tree) was discussed.  Conservation commission is comfortable with a letter from an arborist stating the condition of the tree with a recommendation to take it down during this project.  Motion made to have Peter sign the DES expedited permit, seconded and all in favor.

Meeting adjourned at 9:25am
