Conservation Commission Minutes for March 4, 2010
Attendance:
Peter, Trisha, Sandy, Shelia, Mary Anne and Brian
Peter called the meeting to order at 7:35pm.
Kim recorded the minutes.
Correspondence:
- Newton Planning Board Notice of Decision- David Morgan of 7 Valley Drive
(Tax Map 4 Block 5, Lot 14-18) Conditional Use Permit. Permit is for a home-based business.
-Sandy raised the question whether or not Mr. Morgan’s taxes would change.
- NHDES Wetlands Bureau to Nicol Farm Partnership of 26 Merrimac Road,
Newton NH 03858. Notice of Administrative Completeness Minimum Impact
Agriculture Application.
- Reviewed the plans at our last meeting. Conservation Commission does not see any issues.
- UNH Cooperative Extension- Municipal Turf and Grounds Conference. March 24, 2010 8am- 3pm.
- Members reviewed the pamphlet.
- How to Establish a Local Agricultural Center Pamphlet.
- Peter was interested in finding out more information. Sandy was interested in attending the meeting.
- Brenda Fiers, Interim Treasurer. 2010 Stewardship Account balance as of 1-29-10 is $11,806.76
- Brenda Fiers, Interim Treasurer. 2010 Conservation Account balance as of
1-29-10 is $90,261.70.
7. Notice of Intent to Cut. Sharon DesRosiers Family Living Trust. 35 Maple Ave,
Newton NH.
- Members reviewed tax map 10-7-1. Peter does not think it’s anything we need to be concerned with.
- Newton Planning Board regarding Metro PCS Co-Location at 85 South Main Street. Cell Phone Towers. Commission members discussed the plans. Another antenna will be attached to an existing pole. There will be no impact on the land.
Site Walk: At the Newton Transfer Station Monday, March 8, 2010 at 8:00am.
Busch Farm: Peter should be reviewing the signs made for the Busch Farm this week.
Announcements: Our next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 7:30pm.
