Conservation Commission Draft Minutes for June 5 2008,


Attending were:
Trisha McCarthy, Peter Mears, Pat Wonson, Nancy Slombo, Sandy Estabrook

Peter Mears called the meeting to order at 7:45pm
Minutes Review
Trisha made a motion to accept the May 22, 2008 minutes as presented. Seconded by Peter. All in Favor.

Correspondence:
1.      NH DES Notice of Administrative completeness.  Wetlands Builders, LLC Georges Way, Newton. Tax Map/Lot #7/ 14-26 & 27.
2.      Proposed Water Franchise Informational Meeting at Newton Middle School June 16, 2008 7:00pm.
3.      Knowing the Territory 2008 Edition.
Peter made a motion to purchase a copy for $16.00. Nancy Seconded. All in Favor.
4.      Newton Planning Board Minutes May 27, 2008
5.      Legislative Bulletin May 23, 2008
6.      Workplace Pro T-shirts.
7.      NH DES Standard Dredge and Fill Permit Application. James O’Boyle  65  Hunt Road, Chelmsford, Ma 01824. Construction on 8 Wilder’s Grove Road. Tax Map 2 Lot # 4-37. Replace Existing retaining wall that is falling down. Mr. O’Boyle is represented by V.W. Digman and Sons. P.O. Box 127, Hampstead NH 03841. (603) 329-6184   
Trisha recommends a site walk and email Town Clerk requesting that the application not be signed until completion of site walk
Site walk planned for Monday June 9, 2008 at 4:00pm.
A letter will be sent via U.S. Mail to Mr. O’Boyle and V.W. Digman and Sons informing them of the upcoming site walk.
        
Busch Farms:
Pat Wonson brought in pictures of miscellaneous furniture and trash at Busch Farm. Due to the fire dangers running high, the members of Conservation recommends hosting a future clean up. Trisha recommended the Boy Scouts and will email them to see if they want to help with the clean up.

Beavers have been busy causing water issues. Peter will check out the damage.

Other Business:
Fall Family Festival is planned for Saturday September 20, 2008. Conservation is planning on handing out trail maps and stormwater management bookmarks and sponsoring a bike a bike race.
