Conservation Commission Draft Minutes for April 19, 2007

Attending were:
Trisha McCarthy, Peter Mears, Pat Wonson, Nancy Slombo, Alicia Raddatz,
Sandy Estabrook, Tim Brennan
Guest: Dennis Quintell

Trisha McCarthy called the meeting to order at 8:00pm
Work session was held at 7:30 – cleaning and organizing the office.

Minutes Reviewed from April 5, 2007
Trisha made a motion to except minutes as presented. Nancy Seconded.
All in Favor.

Correspondence: - NPDES PII Small MS4 General Permit Annual Report.
                       - Legislative Bulletin, March 15, 2007
                       -Legislative Bulletin, March 30, 2007
                       -Ben Meadows Water Guide
-       2007 Budget Expenditures
-       Letter from DES requesting additional information regarding property located at 49 Wilders Grove Road.

Busch Farms: 1. Trisha called to track the order of t-shirts for the bike race.
2. Alicia wrote letter to 5th grade class informing the 3rd Annual Bio Monitoring Day is planned for Friday May 18, 2007.
 
Trails: 1. Report of a tree down on the Peanut Trail.

Land Acquisition:  1. Pinkerton Farm is Under Agreement. There is a large hole on the   property that will be filled in.
                        2. Trisha called Essex Equity Reality to place an offer on land behind the Quaker Cemetery that includes frontage on Peaslee Crossing. Trisha will also contact the Cemetery Board regarding this property.
        Alicia made a motion to contact the Town Attorney for an opinion regarding ownership issues with respect to the right of way, spending up to $1000.00 on legal fees.
Pat Seconded. All in Favor.

Wetland Cases:  1.Trisha contacted DES and the EPA regarding a complaint she had received on Zoe Lane.
                    2. Trisha responded to a complaint regarding property owner of 43 Smith Corner Road. Town land abuts this property and wetlands may have been disturbed. The property owner will be contacted.

Old Business: Nothing to report at this time.

New Business:  1.Dennis Quintell discussed  subdivision plans located  on Maple Ave. and the possible impact on drainage. Conservation Committee would like to receive a copy of the plans and a list of trees that they would need to removed. In return, trees would need to planted.
                2. Exploring possibilities to sponsor a child at the Barry Conservation Camp held at UNH for one week.
Other Business: Nothing to report at this time.

Trisha made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:20pm. Alicia Seconded. All in Favor.
