MINUTES
March 16, 2016

Call to Order: 6:39pm
Roll Call:      Mary Winglass, Chair, Public Relations/Programmer; Sally Woodman, Secretary; Diane Morin, Station Manager; Marilyn Landry, Vice Chair

Minutes from Previous Meeting of February 17, 2016: Marilyn motioned to accept the February 17 meeting minutes. Mary seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Budget:  The BOS has requested that we cut our 2016 budget. We reduced our 2015 budget and the 2016 is a bare bones budget. After considerable discussion we finally reduced the Other Expenses from $200.00 to $13.00. This brings our budget from $6,200.00 to $6,013. This will result in that we cannot have any background check should we need to hire another operator. The only other possibility would be to cancel recording the Memorial Day Parade, the Baseball Opening Day and any Historical Society presentations. We will present this budget to the BOS on March 29. As of February 29, 2016 the Revolving Fund contains $184,275.35.
Correspondence and Communications:
  • HB Communications sent an adjustment to their invoice. We will, of course, be carefully reviewing all invoices. This will probably occur until the last new equipment has been installed and the training has been completed for now.
Review Programing Scheduling:
  • Diane has gone over all the programs and has deleted those no longer relevant.
Upcoming Events:
  • The BOS will be holding a special meeting March 29, 2016.  Doug will be working that meeting.
  • The Newton Historical Society will be presenting a program on April 13, 2016.
Unfinished Business:
        Equipment Update:
  • Electrician to wire screen: This job has been completed.
  • Site review of new equipment: Diane will email HB about getting additional training. She will coordinate all involved.
  • Review Candidates Night: A complaint was registered by one of the candidates.  The committee decided that it each candidate would be allowed one rebuttal at next year’s Candidate’s Night.
            Station Manager Update:
  • Dropbox: The price for Dropbox is either $9.99 per month or $99.00 per year. The committee voted to go with the $99.00 per year.  This will give us 1TB of storage which will allow users to upload video files easily.  The cost will be paid from the Cable Revolving Fund.  Diane will put the requisition into the BOS.
  • Headphones:  Doug reported that the headphones were not working properly.  Diane will look for replacement ones and purchase them.  She will keep the cost under $50.
  • Wireless Connection to Projector: Mary asked Chris about controlling the slide presentation from her laptop wirelessly.  Chris is looking into this.  Diane will follow up with Chris.
  • HS Video: Diane received a video file from the High School to be aired. However she has been unable to sync it with our system as yet.  She sent email to Leightronic support asking for assistance.
