PO Box 378 Newton, NH 03858
Minutes
April 8, 2015

Call to Order: 6:55pm
Roll Call:       Sally Woodman, Secretary; Diane Morin, Station Manager; Marilyn Landry, Vice Chair, Chris Liquori, audio/visual consultant, and visiting members of the Newton Junction Baptist Church: Reverend Jim, Donald Morse, Jeff Card and Robert Cole. Mary Winglass was not present.
Minutes from Previous Meeting: Diane motioned to accept the March 11, 2015 minutes as written. Marilyn seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Budget:  The budget was found to be on track.
Correspondence and Communications: There was no correspondence at this time.
Review Programing Scheduling: Diane removed the programs no longer relevant.
Upcoming Events:  Earth Day, Baseball Opening, Memorial Day; the committee has received no notification of upcoming events for Earth Day. If the weather permits, Diane will try to get video of any events taking place. We have not heard from anyone as to the date of the Baseball Opening. Plans are underway for the Memorial Day Parade. Thanks in part to the Recreation Committee and our station manager. Diane will email the recreation commission and let them know we will be taping the event.
Unfinished Business:
  • NJBC camera options: Chris brought in a camera to show the gentlemen from the church. He explained what the camera had for different functions and he had written information for three different cameras to give to them to help in choosing one that best suited their needs. Chris also told them the approximate cost for each. Chris volunteered to help set up whatever camera they choose at no cost to them. They thanked us for taking the time to hear their concerns. The gentlemen left at 7:45pm.
  • Update Station Manager: Diane is still working with Chris to determine the most appropriate new equipment for Channel 20.
New Business:
  • Pay grade for cable operators: The cable committee is having difficulties recruiting any new operators making scheduling a challenge. Sally said she would try to contact some other towns to see if we can determine ways to attract more applicants.
Other:
Next Cable Committee meeting: May 13, 2015
Adjournment: 7:55pm
                Respectfully submitted,                                         Secretary
