New Business:
  • At 7:10pm representatives of the Newton Fire Department joined our meeting. They requested the Cable Committees assistance in getting the word out to the residents of Newton concerning the importance of voting for the warrant article to purchase a new tanker truck.
The committee came up with several suggestions and decided on the following.
1. Slides created by the Fire Department will be sent to the graphics designer to put in a format suitable to be shown on the Cable station.
2. Record an interview with representatives from the Fire station.  The venue will be either at the fire station or at the community center at Sargent Woods. The event will be taped and rebroadcast on the Cable station.  Marilyn will ask Bill Landry if he could be the interviewer.

Other:
  • The committee reviewed the yearend report written by Mary.
  • Mary has the list with pictures of the surplus equipment.  Diane also mentioned that we have some old wireless microphones that can go into the surplus equipment.  Mary asked Diane to give her a list of this equipment so that she can add it to the list.

Adjournment: 8:37pm

Respectfully submitted,
Sally Woodman, Secretary
