.Call to Order: Morin called the meeting to order at 4:10pm
Roll Call: Diane Morin, Chair; Mary Winglass, Public Relations/Programmer; Sally Woodman, via phone, Secretary; Marilyn Landry, Vice Chair
New Business:
- Current Station Manager Position: Donna Judge will be handing in her resignation for both the Cable Committee and as Station Manager. The committee discussed the job requirements and the immediate need to have the position filled. The amount of hours per week was discussed and the committee believes 15 hours per week will allow the Station Manager to perform the duties.
Currently Morin has been filling in and expressed interest in the position. Winglass reviewed what would be expected and Morin agreed she was up to the challenge.
At this point Morin excused herself from the discussion.
Winglass made a motion to recommend to the Board of Selectmen that Diane Morin be hired for the position of Cable Station Manager, Labor Grade X, Step 3, at an hourly rate of $12.29 effective date is May 26, 2013. Woodman seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Morin rejoined the discussion.
Morin will continue to work as interim Station Manager until the Board of Selectmen approves the recommendation to hire. After 3 months the Committee will evaluate Morin’s work performance to ensure she is meeting the job requirements.
Morin will work no more than 15 hours a week as Station Manager. When she is performing tasks as a Cable Operator, those hours will not be considered as Station Manager work.
Morin stepped down as Chairman of the Cable Committee and will remain as a member.
Landry motioned to make Winglass the Chairman of the Committee. Woodman seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The Committee agreed to begin looking for a new cable operator to replace Tavish Forsyth who will be heading back to college in August.
Woodman will write a memo to the Board of Selectmen with the recommendation to hire Morin as Station Manager.
