Call to Order: Diane called the meeting to order at 5:30pm.
Roll Call: Diane Morin, Chair; Sally Woodman, Secretary; Marilyn Landry, Vice Chair
Minutes from Previous Meeting: Diane motioned to accept the minutes from April 17, 2013 meeting. Marilyn seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Budget: Diane reported that the new money market account at the Merrimac Savings bank for the Cable Revolving Fund has been opened with over $45k in it.

Upcoming Events:
- Memorial Day Parade: Diane reported that she and Mary are all set with the event.
Unfinished Business:
- Review bylaws: The committee reviewed the Purpose and Goal section of the bylaws. It will now read: To provide the Town of Newton, its residents, and any and all accepted non-profit organization access to Public, Educational, and Governmental via local access channel. To keep our local access channel active and current at all times, and to provide the viewers the best possible information and picture available.
- Template for programing schedule: Diane sent Mary a schedule in the form of a table. Mary is still reviewing the format.
- Consultant for cable improvements: Diane and Sally are still researching possible consultants.
- Tables for Town Hall: No report from Mary. She is still looking for someone to build the tables.
New Business:
- Donna Judge status: Donna sent an email to Mary stating that she no longer has the time to dedicate to the Town of Newton as Station Manager or as a member of the Cable Committee. Diane will send a letter to Donna requesting a letter of resignation for both Station Manager and Cable committee membership. Diane will ask Donna to say on as a consultant.
- Tavis Forsyth status: Tavis would like re-hired as a cable operator while he is home from college. Diane made a motion to recommend to the BOS the re-hiring of Tavish as a Cable Operator, Grade IX, Step 3 at $11.70 per hour not to exceed 30 hours a week. Sally seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
Other:
- New Station Manager: The committee will discuss the need for replacing Donna as Station Manager.

Adjournment: Diane adjourned the meeting at 6:00pm
