  NEWTON CABLE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

CALL TO ORDER:  5:30pm
Roll Call:      Diane Morin, Chairman; Mary Winglass, Public       Relations/Programmer, Sally Woodman, Secretary;
        Donna Judge, Operator
Minutes from Previous Meetings of April 18 and 25, 2012:
        Donna made a motion to accept the minutes of April 18 and 25 as written. Diane seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Budget:
        The budget figures were discussed and the committee decided we needed to cut the hours of our hourly personnel. This discussion will be continued to our June meeting.
Correspondence and Communications:
        We had one job applicant send a letter explaining that he was offered a full time job and would like to withdraw his application.
        We also received an application for an operator. Diane will respond to this individual and let him know that we no longer need an operator.

Upcoming Events:
        Michael Jewett, a Newton police officer, joined us to discuss the details of the Memorial Day Parade that applied to him. After he left Sue DiMercurio, a member of the Newton Recreation Committee, joined the committee to explain how to use a device allowing music to be played before the Memorial service begins.

        Diane briefly summarized her idea for filming the baseball ceremonies for the start of their season.
