CABLE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
DATE: May 4, 2011
PLACE: Town Meeting Hall
TIME: 5:30p.m.
CALL TO ORDER:
Roll Call: Diane Morin, Chairman; Mary Winglass, Public Relations/Programmer, Sally Woodman, Secretary;
Sue Godin, operator/cable member, Mary Marshall,
Production Manager
Minutes from Previous Meeting of April 27, 2011:
Mary W motioned to accept the minutes as written. Diane seconded the motion which passed unanimously. Mary M abstained since she was not in attendance at the last meeting.
Budget:
Correspondence and Communications:
- Diane replied to Joe Simone’s email in response to a request sent out by the committee to the department heads asking for input on quality of service from Comcast.
Upcoming Events:
- The opening day ceremonies for the baseball season will include a parade. Tavish will film the parade.
- On May 25 the Historical Society will present a lecture on the Underground Railroad in the Town Hall. Sue will film the event.
- The Memorial Day Parade will begin at 11:00a.m. Sue, Diane, and Sally will get the equipment for filming together. Mary W will contact Sue DiMecuril, of the recreation committee, that we will film the parade.
Unfinished Business:
- The committee reviewed the changes made at out last meeting. Several more were made and the committee, at this time, felt that the contract, with these changes, was ready to submit to the Board of Selectmen. Mary W said she would try to set up a meeting with the BOS on May 24th or 31st.
- A discussion about how the money would be spent ensued.
New Business:
- Diane did some research on camera’s that might be of use for the Baptist church as well as the cable committee.. One suggestion was the Canon X10 Camcorder. At this time it was felt more research would be necessary.
Other:
- Diane will write a letter the Baptist church giving them options they could use to obtain a new camera.
