Cable Committee Meeting Minutes

DATE:                   January 20, 2010
PLACE:                  Town Hall, Selectmen’s Office
TIME:                   5:30p.m.
CALL TO ORDER:  5:33p.m.
ROLL CALL:      Diane Morin, Sally Woodman, Pauline Morse, Mary Winglass, Tom Glasse

SECRETARY’S REPORT: To be reviewed at next meeting.

COMMUNICATIONS and CORRESPONDANCE: Mary Winglass received the approval to use the Memorial School auditorium for the February 2, 2010 deliberative session.  
                
Old BUSINESS:
  • The cable connection for the new pc in the cable room should be completed by January 21, 2010.
  • The new pc in the cable room should be installed and running by January 21, 2010
  • Mary Winglass was sworn in by the selectmen and is now a voting member.
  • Tom Glasse is still waiting on paper work before being sworn in.
NEW BUSINESS:
  • The duties and responsibilities were motioned and voted on as follows:
  • A motion was made by Mary Winglass and seconded by Pauline Morse and unanimously voted to make Diane Morin Chairperson.
  • A motion was made by Diane Morin and seconded by Mary Winglass and unanimously voted to make Sally Woodman Secretary.
  • A motion was made by Pauline Morse and seconded by Sally Woodman and unanimously voted to make Mary Winglass Public Relations/Programmer.
  • A discussion about tablecloths resulted in Pauline Morse offering to bring in samples of fabric that she has.   She also volunteered to make the tablecloths.
  • Discussion was held concerning the need for a working meeting.  Mary took the action item to contact Comcast to see if a representative could help us with the setup and running of the deliberative session.  The two dates proposed are January 24, 2010 or January 27, 2010.  The date will be dependent upon when the representative can come.  If the representative is not available the working meeting will be on January 27, 2010 starting at 5:30pm.  
  • It was suggested by Tom Glasse to do an inventory of our equipment.
  • Tom Glasse will send a slide in the format he used previously.
  • Mary Winglass informed the committee that we need to aware of our budget constraints.  
  • Mary Winglass asked the committee to solicit new members for the Cable committee.
  • Mary Winglass will send the current list of email address for the committee members to Sally Woodman so that she may send the minutes electronically
