MINUTES: Meeting of Tuesday, January 21, 2014

CALL TO ORDER at 7:30 PM by Chairman Tom McElroy

ROLL CALL: Chairman Tom McElroy, Jack Kozec, Alternate Matt Burrill,
                 Vice-Chairman Alan French arrived late.
Absent: Dana Allison, Bradley Cardoso, Alternate Ken Pelletier

Mr. Burrill was made a voting member.

ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES:
Meeting of November 19,2013.  A motion was made by Mr. Kozec to accept the minutes as written.  Second by Mr. Burrill.  All in favor.  Motion carries.

NEW BUSINESS:
  • Distribution of NH Planning and Land Use Regulation books
Town and City publication made available to other members
Attorney Phil Parry called in regards to Coleman McDonough and Legends Baseball.
Chaiman McElroy had the paperwork.  He was under the impression that this paperwork was concerning the Fire Chief ‘s statement that he would not allow any of his trucks on the farthest fire road.  Mr. McDonough wants to have the variance for this road & wall, etc. to be reversed.  Board feels that someone needs to give him a denial.
More discussion.  Members agreed that Mr. McDonough should be scheduled for a review of plans for Legends Baseball at the February meeting.

Both the Fire Chief, Bill Ingalls, and the Secretary of the Planning Board should be invited to the next meeting!

Mr. McElroy called out for an Emergency…  Mr. French takes over:

  • Review of plans for: Peter Stoddard, S & H Land Services (Manchester, NH)
For owners: Pamela Brown & Gary Anderson
                  Of Northridge, California
For property at: 41 Wilders Grove Road,
                        Newton, NH 03858
                        (Map #002-03-019)
Discussion of the plans for the garage needing variances.  It appears that the plan itself is OK, but the requests for variance need to indicated (in words) in footage to the nearest point (dripedge/overhangs).  It is the wording that needs adjustment.
There was also question and discussion on a shoreline permit… There is a 25’ drop-off to the swamp… Wetland setbacks are different for this.
Mr. Stoddard also needs a denial from the Building Inspector.

OLD BUSINESS:
  • No news from Jaimie Bezancon of Tru Form Industries…
  • Town Deliberative Session is scheduled for February 1, 2014, with February 8 as a snow date.
  • Sanborn Regional District Deliberative Session is scheduled for Wecnesday, February 5, 7 PM in the HS Auditorium.
