MINUTES: Meeting of Tuesday, August 17, 2010
CALL TO ORDER at 7:30 PM by Chairman Tom McElroy
MOMENT OF SILENCE IN MEMORY OF Forrest Reynolds, who served on this
Board in the 1970s.
ROLL CALL: Chairman Tom McElroy, Vice-Chairman Alan French, Dana Allison,
Bradley Cardoso, Jack Kozec, & Alternate Charles Melvin, Sr.
Absent: Alternate Ken Pelletier.
ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES: Minutes from the meetings of June 15 and June 22, 2010.
Motion made by Mr. Allison to accept the minutes of both meetings . Second by Mr.French. Motion carries.
OLD BUSINESS: NH MunicipalAssociation workshop held in the Kingston Town Hall was attended by both Mr McElroy and Mr Melvin. Mr McElroy asked the secretary to make copies for the other Board members.
NEW BUSINESS:
- Next month we are expecting to have a Public Hearing for Mr. Ryan Norman, who is seeking a variance for the property at 63 Peaslee Crossing (At the corner of Quaker Road). Residential B.
- NH Municipal Association is seeking for the “Municipal Volunteer of the year award”.
- Discussion of the televised Selectmen’s Meeting and the extremely generous offer made to the town by Mr Chet Bearce. They then sidetracked into the history of Newton.
ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made at 7:45PM by Mr. Kozec to adjourn. There was a second by Mr. French. Motion carries.
